Disregard the description of this app, which says you need Android Two.Three for movie talk. You don’t.

Five. You will be prompted to install a Movie plugin.
6. Download and install plugin.

The movie isn’t high quality, but at least it works. Which is more than I can say for Skype.

As an aside, I got began on this search because my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S 4G Android Smartphone and one of its features is "Movie Talks without Buffering". what they don’t tell you when you buy it, is that the pre-installed movie talk software is called Qik Movie Talk and it is NOT compatible with PC!
So, downloading and installing an app is a necessity because my spouse doesn’t have an iPhone or Android phone. He has a desktop computer running Windows 7. Eventually, we found a solution – Yahoo Messenger with Movie Talk Plugin – but it took many hours of frustration! I hope that someday a truly good movie talk program will be available and that it will work well on all platforms!

As an aside, I got began on this search because my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S 4G Android Smartphone and one of its features is "Movie Talks without Buffering". what they don’t tell you when you buy it, is that the pre-installed movie talk software is called Qik Movie Talk and it is NOT compatible with PC!
So, downloading and installing an app is a necessity because my hubby doesn’t have an iPhone or Android phone. He has a desktop computer running Windows 7. Eventually, we found a solution – Yahoo Messenger with Movie Talk Plugin – but it took many hours of frustration! I hope that someday a indeed good movie talk program will be available and that it will work well on all platforms!

Ultimately, we found a solution – Yahoo Messenger with Movie Talk Plugin – but it took many hours of frustration! So, downloading and installing an app is a necessity because my spouse doesn’t have an iPhone or Android phone. He has a desktop computer running Windows 7. Eventually, we found a solution – Yahoo Messenger with Movie Talk Plugin – but it took many hours of frustration! I hope that someday a truly good movie talk program will be available and that it will work well on all platforms!

Disregard the description of this app, which says you need Android Two.Trio for movie talk. You don’t.
Two. Run Yahoo Messenger (in Android programs, it is listed under just "Messenger").
Three. Click on the settings button and click on options.
Four. Click on "Voice and Movie"
Five. You will be prompted to install a Movie plugin.
6. Download and install plugin.
7. Run Yahoo Messenger. Now Movie Talk will work.
NOTE: The PC user has to download and install the Yahoo Messenger program. The web version does not support movie talk. Mac version of the program is also available. Click here to download Yahoo Messenger for PC/Windows or Mac.
The movie isn’t high quality, but at least it works. Which is more than I can say for Skype.
Skype should work on Android version Two.Two, and it does have a PC application as well. At very first I was able to get it to work, with the front facing camera, but I appeared upside down and it did not support a hands-free headset.
Recently the Skype program has been updated and I presently can’t get it to work on my phone, but it’s worth a attempt. The Skype app is updated frequently and maybe you will have success.
Skype advertises itself as a universal solution. It says, "Make free voice and movie calls to anyone else on Skype, whether they’re on an Android, iPhone, Mac or PC. " However it also notes problems with Froyo and unsupported phones.

I’m not sure why everyone seems to assume that both parties will have an iPad, iPhone, Android smartphone, Android tablet, etc. Maybe you want to talk with your spouse, parents, grandparents, etc. They shouldn’t have to spend $200+ on a phone or tablet!
As an aside, I got began on this search because my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S 4G Android Smartphone and one of its features is "Movie Talks without Buffering". what they don’t tell you when you buy it, is that the pre-installed movie talk software is called Qik Movie Talk and it is NOT compatible with PC!
So, downloading and installing an app is a necessity because my hubby doesn’t have an iPhone or Android phone. He has a desktop computer running Windows 7. Eventually, we found a solution – Yahoo Messenger with Movie Talk Plugin – but it took many hours of frustration! I hope that someday a indeed good movie talk program will be available and that it will work well on all platforms!
