On Tuesday, Snapchat introduced Talk Two.0, the upgraded messaging system that now integrates a lot of the features that consumers see in other messaging apps.
In a blog post on Tuesday, the company said, "You can embark by sending a few talks, and when your friend shows up, commence talking or movie talking instantly with one tap." Aside from the improved process, users can either listen or observe the sender. Audio notes are also available now to further perk up the system.
Since visual content seemed to be the concentrate of Snapchat, some fans rejoiced with the company’s decision to integrate emojis and smileys that help express a user’s feelings and reactions without the need to type a message.
While other networks boast of hundreds and possibly thousands of emojis, the fresh Talk offers about two hundred stickers which are expected to make communication even more joy.
According to Vanity Fair, the platform’s decision to advance its communication structure has put it in line with other popular and widely used apps such as WhatsApp and Facebook’s Messenger. At the moment, the mentioned apps are Snapchat’s largest rivals and through the fresh features, it is expected that more users will be drawn to the platform.
Just last week, the company acquired Bitstrips, and while it is unclear what Snapchat is planning for the maker of personalized emojis called "bitmojis," some predict that in the near future, Snapchat users may ultimately be able to use a broad range of customized bitmojis that will add to the joy while Snapchatting.
Eventually, there’s the Auto-Advance Stories feature that permits for users to either permit the next Story to play after the very first one is finished playing or skip a Story that one isn’t so interested in. "Simply swipe to skip ahead, or pull down to exit!" Snapchat said of the fresh feature.
For those who still have doubts about the app’s security in terms of keeping conversations private, the platform has also updated its privacy policy that promises no stockpiling of private exchanges among friends.
